Why this exists

Buyers are asking better questions. Serious contractors should be able to show how they work.

Fire door buyers, managing agents and responsible persons are increasingly asking about SKEB, supervision, product evidence, handover records and scope limitations — not just company badges.

Company-level marketing alone is often not enough when buyers need to understand named installers, supervisors, training summaries and how evidence is managed on site.

Installer Evidence Profiles give contractors a structured way to present contractor-submitted evidence in plain English — aligned with buyer tools on this site.

This is evidence visibility for a safety-critical trade. It is not an approval scheme, certification body or lead guarantee.

Key takeaway: Help buyers ask better questions — without claiming site approval or certification.

What your profile can show

Structured evidence summaries — not raw document dumps by default.

  • Who you are and your trading identity
  • Where you work and service areas
  • What fire door work you do
  • Named installers, supervisors or evidence leads
  • Training and qualification summary
  • Insurance summary
  • SKEB summary across skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours
  • Handover evidence approach
  • Supervision and sign-off approach
  • Scope limitations stated honestly
  • Evidence expiry or status indicators — future phase

Key takeaway: Summaries help buyers start due diligence — they do not prove compliance.

What this is not

Read this before you subscribe.

Not approval, vetting, verification, certification or recommendation by FireDoorInstallation.com.

Not a guarantee of leads, enquiries, ranking or buyer selection.

Not proof of compliance, competence or suitability for every job.

Not independent verification unless a separate recorded service is launched and clearly explained.

Not a substitute for buyer checks, scope review or competent professional advice.

Buyer checks remain required for every appointment.

Key takeaway: Paid evidence visibility — buyers remain responsible for their own checks.

How it works

Current manual onboarding flow — no checkout on this site yet.

  1. Choose profile type

Individual installer or company team profiles with named people. See detailed pricing on the pricing page.

  2. Email your interest

Contact the contractor directory team after reading what is required. Emailing does not mean acceptance or publication.

  3. Prepare your evidence

Use the preparation checklist for SKEB, insurance, training, supervision and handover summaries.

  4. Admin completeness and risk review

Admin checks completeness and wording risk — not technical certification of competence.

  5. Payment when onboarding route is ready

Online payment is being prepared. Payment invite may follow review when Stripe is approved — not before.

  6. Publication gate

A separate admin publication approval is required. Payment alone does not publish a profile.

  7. Profile goes live

Public profile appears in the directory only after final approval and active subscription.

Frequently asked questions

Does this mean FireDoorInstallation.com approves me?

No. A paid profile is structured evidence visibility only. FireDoorInstallation.com does not approve, vet, verify, certify or recommend contractors.

Do I get guaranteed leads?

No. There is no guarantee of leads, enquiries, ranking or buyer selection. Profiles help buyers find and compare evidence — buyer checks remain required.

Can companies add multiple named people?

Yes. Company Team Evidence Profiles support multiple named installers, supervisors or evidence leads with sliding volume discounts per named person per month.

Can I show SKEB evidence?

Yes — as public summaries where appropriate. Raw documents are not public by default. Summaries should be honest about scope and limitations.

Will raw documents be public?

Not by default. Profiles use summary-first evidence presentation. Upload and visibility controls are planned for a future portal phase.

Can I update evidence?

Yes — via the current admin process and a future contractor portal. Evidence should be kept current; expiry indicators are planned.

Is this suitable for sole traders?

Yes. Individual Installer Evidence Profiles are designed for sole traders, named installers and individual evidence leads.

Is this a certification scheme?

No. This is a paid evidence listing product — not third-party certification, scheme membership or site approval.
